To facilitate our athletes in Intro To StarSKATE all the way through Senior StarSKATE we offer Dryland Training (Off Ice) once per week in Winter, and new for Spring, once a week. In some circumstances during our Summer Bootbreaker Camps we offer Dryland weekly or once a week.
These classes are usually indoor during regular winter season and outdoor for Spring and Summer. They are 45 mins in length and facilitated by a Professional Coach of Figure Skating or a Professionally Certified Fitness Trainer.
As a group we work on flexibility, endurance, balance, musicality, jump & spin technique, muscle memory, speed drills, alignment & posture conditioning. Our groups have experienced choreographed dance, Zumba, ballet, circuit training, yoga and skipping classes to name a few.
Off ice is essential in progression with Star and is included with your fee’s. You are welcome even if it is not your skating day.
Please bring a yoga mat, water bottle and wear running shoes and exercise clothes to your Dryland Training.

Summer CanSkate Changes
Due to busy summer schedules for most of our skating families, our summer CanSkate program will be offered in a different format compared to our traditional 10 class program. We will be offering two weeks of CanSkate programs that can be registered as individual weeks, consisting of 5 daily classes. This is perfect for families that are interested in a CanSkate refresher before the start of our fall session or families that are interested in trying out CanSkate prior to our fall session registration. Alternatively, you can register your skater for both weeks of our summer CanSkate program to get the full 10 class session.

All skaters must be members of Skate Canada. The Skate Canada season runs from September 1st through August 31st of each year. This involves an annual fee as set by Skate Canada that is automatically charged at the time of registration for your class only if your skater has not registered for a Skate Canada class this season. Please note that the Skate Canada season will renew again on September 1st. Therefore, all skaters will be charged a new Skate Canada fee for fall classes.
